As we all know, most of the freight and passenger traffic in the Republic of Uzbekistan falls on rail transport. The locomotive is the main traction rolling stock of railway transport, with the help of which the process of transporting freight and passenger cars is carried out. In the article, the analysis of the types, number and age of locomotives in the locomotive fleet of JSC “O‘zbekiston temir yo‘llari”, as well as the procedure for determining the remaining resources and extending the service life of locomotives, is mentioned.
