This article examines the main methods for diagnosing and monitoring the technical condition of asynchronous traction motors, analyzing the impact of operational factors on their reliability and durability. Voltage asymmetry, instability of the power current, and dynamic loads lead to the deterioration of the technical condition of asynchronous traction motors of electric locomotives. The reliable operation of these motors is crucial for ensuring the efficient and uninterrupted operation of rolling stock. Analyzing their technical condition allows for the timely detection of faults and improvement of operational performance.
