Abstract

Along with gasoline (petrol) and diesel fuel, gas is increasingly used as a fuel for reciprocating internal combustion engines. Its use requires special liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) equipment. The article considers the stages of development of LPG equipment for powering units of vehicles. The review and analysis of all six currently existing generations of LPG equipment was carried out. The result of the analysis made it possible to determine the different features of these systems and the conditions for their operation on modern vehicles. It has been established that all of them have their own advantages and disadvantages, which allows them to be used for specific vehicles.
